As previously mentioned, I was recently on holiday in Sharm El Sheikh – Egypt. I have been going there for many years now and love the relaxed, laid back, chilled out way of life. One of our favourite things to do whilst in Egypt is to take a snorkelling trip out to Tiran Island. We have done this trip on previous visits but this year was different, TOTALLY different.
We headed off at 0830 with our lovely friends J&D and travelled to catch the boat. If you’ve ever done a boat trip in Sharm El Sheikh, you’ll understand when I say – this is easier said than done. All the boats leave from the same place at the same time, so when you have 500 people from every corner of the globe trying to get on the correct boat – it’s a recipe for disaster! Extreme patience is required.
Anyway we eventually get on our boat which was called Rouka and set off for a day of snorkelling.
The Coral in the Red Sea is INCREDIBLE – so colourful, vibrant and untouched.
The variety and quantity of fishes and wildlife you see is also insane – It’s so exciting each time you put your head under as you never know what you’re going to see next.
On our way to the second snorkelling spot, all of a sudden someone on the boat started shouting and whistling – this could only mean one thing…
Trying to capture all the action!
It was our first time to see Dolphins in the wild – in their natural habitat, and that was so freakin AMAZING!
Truly refreshing, so nice to see them just swimming alongside the boat – jumping in and out of the water as and when it suited them.
Posing like a Russian…
Amazing day out with great company… Unforgettable!
